“One of our most popular promotions was jom jimat,”says Jamaludin Md Ali,managing director of QSR Brands and KFC holdings in Malaysia.“For just RM4.90,consumers could enjoy a full meal plus a soft drink-it become so popular it’s now part of our permanent menu,” KFC also lured consumers with exciting new items such as Zinger Tower,Fiery Crunch,Cheezy Chickaroni,Shrimp Stix and Hot Rods.The new-look breakfast menu tantalized with favourites like chicken porridge and nasi lemak and introduced the A.M. Twister and A.M. Riser.Consumer interest the cheap food from KFC because of the economy
situation.
